This program was originally created by NHK Fukuoka Broadcast Station (NHK=="Nihon Housou Kyoukai": Japan Broadcasting Corporation) in '80s (depends on a comment by SHINDEN-KAN web owner) and aired limited area of Kyushu island (I guess around Fukuoka area), in Japan.
You can find 8mm film of Shinden's test flight (filmed by Mr. Kunitake Kiyohara, Engineer of Kyusyu Airplane) on YouTube. However this TV interview includes more footage which you cannot see on YouTube, and actual comments by Mr. Tsuruno (designer of Shinden) and Mr. Kiyohara (engineer who buit Shinden and who actually fimed these film footage).
When I saw this for the first time, I was quite impressed with Mr. Tsuruno, how he believed his work even senior aiplane designer(s) criticised him in public (according to Mr. Tsuruno's comment).
I tried to make subtitle for this video, both in Japanese and Englsh: but audio quality is not so good, and some parts are hard to recognize, so the Japanese trascriptions are not perfect. Furthermore, English translation requires proof reading... so those are not perfect: but I hope you can get what are they talking about.
My subtitle files are in SSA or ASS format, so you have to prepare your own environment and movie file to playback together. (FYI, in my case, I download RealMedia file from "Shinden-kan", re-encode to DivX AVI file and use VLC player to playback.)
